Introduction
This notice applies to customers and clients of Demeter Home Kft., as well as natural person contacts representing customers (together: "contacts" or "you"). The controller of your personal data is the DATA CONTROLLER.
Why do we process personal data?
- to stay in touch with you or your employer as our customer or business partner and answer your questions;
- to provide offers, conclude contracts, and perform them;
- to comply with accounting and tax obligations;
- to send marketing messages based on your consent.
Processing typically covers services delivered, your name, role, and contact details (email, phone). We do not record special categories of data.
What personal data do we process?
Personal data may come from you, your company contacts, or public sources (e.g. company registry). Categories include:
- identification data (name);
- contact data (address, email, phone);
- work-related data (title, position);
- contract data (subject, transaction description);
- banking data (account number, tax number, payment data);
- communication data (email content, business letters, contracts, documents).
Legal bases for processing
- Contract: GDPR Article 6(1)(b), for concluding or performing a contract.
- Legitimate interest: GDPR Article 6(1)(f), to maintain and develop the business relationship.
- Consent: GDPR Article 6(1)(a), especially for direct marketing.
- Legal obligation: GDPR Article 6(1)(c) and (e), for tax, accounting, or authority requests.
By providing personal data you warrant you are authorized to do so and that the contact has been informed of this notice.
Legitimate interest
Our legitimate interest is to manage offers, contracts, and ongoing communication with customers and their contacts.

Who has access to the data?
Only authorized persons within the DATA CONTROLLER have access on a need-to-know basis.
Personal data may be shared externally with:
- banks, external advisors (e.g. lawyers), and official authorities where required;
- processors such as hosting, email, website operations, and invoicing systems.
How long do we retain data?
We keep data only as long as necessary. Contract-related data is kept for 5 years (civil limitation), and accounting records are kept for at least 8 years. Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

- right to restriction of processing;
- right to data portability;
- right to object;
- right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian Data Protection Authority.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
